Thanks! reminds me of the opposite. maybe 15 years ago , EOS, Transactions AGU, had either an editorial or a letter suggesting that earth scientists (I think directed at males) do something about their appearances: shave the beards, maybe get contacts, etc.

Our family used to call earth scientists of a certain appearance "beardos".
