If you have time, could you run some tests to see if you can find a way to have a TB program in memory without having it hog all of the processor time? There must be some way to do that.

You proposed that using the Windows Task Manager to assign a TB program a low execution priority might work. So that could be one option. But as it requires activities that cannot be easily programmed to run automatically then it would not be the most attractive way to go.

If TB calls some extrenal program and then waits for it to finish executing, and it does not hog all of the processor while it is waiting then perhaps that might work. The external program such as a Perl program could be instructed to just sit there until it was told to exit.
