I just did a big run of random predictions comparable to Amit's list.

Basically, the run analyzed the same number of predictions as the list (212) but the times were randomized. They were spread throughout the same time span as the original list. All predictions were magnitude 6.5 and larger.

I repeated this 10,000 times. (took 4 hours 50 minutes)

I kept track of how many times a particular number of hits came up.

The worst the random predictions ever did was 39 hits while the best was 89.

The number that came up the most was 65. Compare this to the actual hit count of the real list - 63.

Following is a text graph showing the area around the curve. I only show the range 30-100 as the rest are all zero. I left the font smaller so more of the graph shows on the screen at one time.
