Yes, that's what he meant but I didn't find it out until much later.

We've tried his predictions all sorts of ways, with or without mags, different mag definitions, planetary influences, etc.

Each time he fails and comes up with a different idea - which also fails.

But he persists.

I don't mind, I enjoy the challenge.
