I don't have very much technical geophysical training; my degrees are in Geology. I took 1 remedial High School math class in college and then eventually 7 more math classes. I learned to do the problems and then forgot how, and had/have no understanding of Math. I think my mind is not wired for Math. I can't sing either. So, I could not do the jobs that I assume these Chinese do for that oil company. What I do I consider as much art as science. I suspect that those geophysicists would not be good at what I do.

When I had no funding, I thought I would try and consult with industry, with decision to be made in December this fall. But I don't know if I could get any work. My only funding now is a project that is supposed to start January 1, and have 2.5 months in 2014. But if the shutdown continues, who knows?
