Roger,

I checked my records and see that about 50 people perished as a result of that February 6, 2013 Solomon Islands earthquake. And many more were probably injured.

Those people certainly had a right to remain alive. And I believe that my chart shows that they might have had plenty of warning that the earthquake was on the way if any scientists in their country had been monitoring my forecast data charts.

When human lives are at stake it is not permissible to just sit and wait until there is 100% certainty regarding what might be done to save those lives. People need to make the best use they can regarding whatever data are available.

The main argument that people use to try to stop earthquake forecasters is that the predictions could get the general public upset. But that likely happens in most cases because the people circulating the forecasts don't know how to discuss that type of information in public. I have been openly circulating forecast data for years. And there has never been a single case of panic as a result as far as I am aware.

If government are concerned about forecasters creating panic situations then why don't they offer them some free public relations courses instead of trying to keep them from saying anything with the result that NO ONE has any warnings before an earthquake occurs.

These are personal opinions.
