errr...uhmmm...

I only just stopped using Win2k about a month ago (for reasons only peripherally related to it being Win2k). Still using WinXP.

I only install the latest service packs.

I have a software firewall - windows firewall is disabled since it's useless.

My router has some firewall capability as well.

No patches.

No updates.

No ad blockers.

No anti-virus running. (I run an occasional online scan)

No ad-ons, toolbars, or other cutesy-wutesy "must haves".

No unnecessary or dangerous system services.

No HTML in my email program.

yet...

No viruses.

No infections.

No hacks.

No problems.
