I note that there are often small quakes in the area around Lake Shasta. I find myself wondering what might happen if the proposed increase in the dam height occurs? Fifteen feet of more water and weight...don't have the area at my fingertips right now. Could be of interest (probably not in my lifetime, but just noting!)

I always wonder, too, because the lake is almost NEVER full. Creation of a larger bathtub ring around the lake?
