EM SIGNAL DATABASE

As of Saturday, August 25, 2013, my EM Signal database is current for at least all of the strong EM Signals for the year 2013 and going back to around 2001 with many entries for years going back to 1995. And the earthquake database file is current for 5.5 magnitude and higher earthquakes going back to the start of 1990, plus some other significant lower magnitude earthquakes such as ones in California.

Getting everything updated and running again took an astronomical amount of time. I was wondering if it would ever end. And I still have something like 600 records for medium and low intensity EM Signals that need to be processed. Each one takes about 2 minutes to process. They can wait!

Now that the most important part of that work is done I am starting to do things such as update my forecasting Web pages etc. and also get to work on some other projects including the following two:

RECENT EARTHQUAKE WARNINGS

Now that my EM Signals have been updated I have been checking for possible earthquake activity.

Present expectations are that there is no immediate danger for a powerful earthquake. The strong EM Signals detected since the start of July, 2013 appear to have been pointing largely to the relatively low magnitude earthquakes that are occurring every day. The signals were in part being amplified by all of the strong solar storm activity.

But, something does appear to be slowly approaching. The large number of low intensity signals that have been detected lately are consistent with something headed for the Japan area. And it might be a while before anything happens. Those types of signals were detected starting around July of 2010. And they continued until some time after the extremely powerful and destructive March 11, 2011 Japan earthquake.

Regarding that Japan earthquake,

Nuclear power plant personnel in Japan are still fighting a daily battle with the consequences of their nuclear power plant meltdown. The latest threat is from radioactive water leaking into the ocean from both ground level spills and slow underground water seepage. And if I remember correctly, they are not even expecting to have that one reactor that suffered a meltdown get to a complete cold shutdown for another 10 years. It will still be in the somewhat critical stage until then.

Is it any wonder that the nuclear power industry is so universally feared and shunned. They are their own worst enemies. If anyone is interested, during the past year I sent U.S. Policy Makers detailed proposals for how to get some life back into the nuclear power industry. And from what I can tell it appears that my correspondence was acknowledged during a U.S. government press conference. But they haven’t yet put my plan into affect.

GEM

Some time ago I contacted GEM personnel and recommended that they do the same types of things that they are apparently now thinking of doing. And I would propose that they might now be moving in that direction in part because of the recent E-mails that I circulated to earthquake researchers around the world. Some of those people have pretty fancy credentials. And they know how to get things done. I would guess that one or more of them either directly or indirectly contacted the GEM people about what I was recommending. They might have even sent them one of my E-mails that I told everyone could be circulated.

In any case, some time this week I plan to contact the GEM people again myself about all of this. I can probably help them move faster. And all of these research groups do actually need that type of help. There have been countless of those types of groups formed over the years. And they start with good intentions. But they soon discover that they cannot get past the interference caused by various Special Interest Groups. Progress becomes slow or nonexistent. And they get discouraged and cease their efforts. I believe that this recently happened to one large group like that. I offered to help them but they weren’t interested and it appears that they finally went out of business.

These are personal opinions.
