My thought is, looking at my image, if you extend the fault trace it would pass right behind that hill the subdivision is on. I'm wondering if water isn't coming up the fault trace somehow. If so, I would think it'd have to be coming from deep in the bedrock to get the pressure to push it up. It's certainly not water following a crack from the lake downhill.

Over here where I currently live, the creek is running slow. It disappears where it hits a known fault trace.
