This is all so complex that it really can't be debated at any length in bulletin board discussions.

One of the things that I have said to U.S. Energy Policy Makers is that the overall energy picture is so complex and there are so many extremely powerful special interest groups involved here that there is probably just one way to make any rapid progress. And that is to create a special nonprofit foundation that would focus on dealing with this subject matter. As an independently funded nonprofit it would be immune to pressure from all of the special interest groups.

News reports indicate to me that U.S. Energy Policy Makers agree with me regarding that. And the creation of such an organization is apparently now being considered by those people.
