Re: Earthquake Forecasting and Note to Pavel and Shan – April 22, 2013 |
I just checked this site for the first time in quite a while - things have been quiet plus I've been a little busy lately - strange that I should read Roger's post after all that I've gone through lately. I was diagnosed with ILC breast cancer in January and, exactly one month ago, I had a mastectomy. My cancer was also too small to be found with a mammogram or to be felt - only found with an ultrasound and a subsequent biopsy. To avoid certain disfigurement (because of location) and to be sure they got it all (because of the way ILC spreads), I opted for a total mastectomy. I know the fear, the shock, the denial that goes along with the wait for the test results (and the possibility of a cancer diagnosis). Therefore, I wish your wife all the best through this trying time. I hope it is not cancer, but if it is, just remember - it's not the end of the world. Things do get better - it takes awhile - but, speaking from my own experience, each day gets better and better. Just stay positive - and be there for her.
