West Pacific seems active

Maybe not true, but it seems to me that the west Pacific has been more active in the last 2 days or so than usual. Of note, a M7 in western New Guinea, a deep 6 no doubt related to the subducting slab west of Japan in Russia, and a bunch of M5+ (largest is M6.0) in and north of the Tohoku (Japan) M9. My gut reaction base on no science except quakes occur where the are already occuring, is to keep an eye on Japan/Honshu-Hokkaido where the activity is. Chris
