Re: Moving update

Nags? You mean like for updates and such? I hardly ever get them. I do have flash, but being a bit older machine it's an older version, and obviously not updated. There was recently a spate of warnings on YouTube about needing to update because they were invoking new features. Well, I didn't, and everything seem to still work, so go figure. Anyway, once HTML5 goes mainstream stuff like Flash, javascript, and the like will be obsolete. But, I WILL have to update my browser then, which will likely be worth it.

I'm really not sure how to quantify what I do with my computer and online compared to others. I simply never have the problems that I see others have and I don't know why. And it's not like I don't put myself out there so-to-speak when I go online. I've gone to plenty of websites that would be considered high-risk for hacking attempts. I've downloaded stuff from not-so-reputable sources. I just don't get infected. In fact, I don't even bother with installing real time anti-virus software anymore. I do 'online scans' from ESET once in a while, and yes, it finds things, but they are located in places that they never had a chance to do anything to me and are easily deleted.

As for moving in one trip vs many, it really depends on distance, and how much time you have,AND most importantly, how much help you have and when they're available. I had a week of overlap once when moving only 10 miles. I used the car after work to do 1 or 2 trips of all the small stuff. Then I rented a small truck for one day to get the big items. But, I was also only moving a small 1 bedroom apartment, though it was packed.
