My daughter and I are moving to an island in Rhode Island a week from Saturday. My wife will join in June. For my wife and I, it is supposed to be the last move: we will be in a small town where you can walk 5 to 10 minutes to everything. My 23 year-old daughter loves that island, where we spend vacations, so we will get visits. But the house we are moving to costs far more than what we can sell the heartland house for, so no retirement any time soon.
