surprised EQF has not commented yet |
It was not a prediction, but it was a clear statement that something was going on made by EQF in his post, more emphatic than other ones. So I find this interesting. I actually went to his web site a few hours ago and his wiggle-longitude-date plots did show a peak near 170 E (looks to be a couple degrees east of the quake). Of course I looked a day and a half after the quake so could have been changed. I'm surprised EQF has not chimed in since the quake; could be the friend in hospital. Even though this caught my attention, what is one going to do with an anonymous person with a long record of outlandish claims, and little information on what the EM signals are besides eartones (what instruments, if any, where located, etc etc ). The subduction zone was clearly releasing energy before the quake: there was a swarm of M6s and then a M6+ foreshock an hour before. But whether that energy was released in a way any different from just seismic waves of foreshocks, I don't know. Lots of ocean out there, so if something was going on, might look to satellite rather than ground data.
