You might want to check what the SE end of the 1857 rupture was. I know it ruptured at Gorman, which is in the Big Bend. I forget of it ruptured all the way SE to Wrightwood. I don't think that part of the San Andreas (the bend at the NW of the Mojave segment) is considered difficult to rupture through. But, I'm not checking the research.
