I just checked the focal mechanisms of two of the M4s; the map error on one is 7 km and on the other is 3 km, and there is no depth given. The nearest station used is over 50 km way. I wonder if anyone has put in a local network?
So, Brian is correct; can't make a useful cross section through poorly located quakes. Chris |
