I recently was re-reading a book on chaos and it got me to thinking about how it might apply to quake prediction. I was doing a little Googling and ran across an article regarding the work of Keilis-Borok. It discusses the then recent successes of his predictions and what the future may hold.
The article was published 10 years ago yesterday, and has comments from Vidale.

Anyway, having refreshed my mind on some of the aspects of chaotic attractors and fractals, I'm thinking of exploring a few quake data sets to see what I find. But it may be a while before I have any results. Still learning to program all over again.
