I'm using GeoMapApp to bring in base maps to a geographic reference, and then digitizing the tracks. This is a really capable free software maintained at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. Their logo looks to have quakes on it. Has global bathymetry and topography. I've used it before but only to get topo-bathy grids. Is saving me a real nightmare to use it for digitizing.

Brian is most likely to use IMHO.
