Duffy;
I've been wrestling with my big PC for several days and finally have it in usable shape. I can dual boot XP and Win 7. XP is for programming, 7 is for Netflix!
Along the way I found my Neic catalog was missing minutes (all 0) so I downloaded the whole thing from 1973 to 2017, stripped off all the extra stuff and reformatted it, over 72,000 quakes, mag 5 and up.
Then I wrote a search program which will extract whatever is desired by selecting a lat/lon box, a date range and mag limits. Output is the desired information in the same .csv format output file.
If you or anyone has a need for this, it's available. The program is pretty quick; takes just a few seconds to execute and I can modify it for different search parameters as desired.

I have no doubt, this will come in handy at some point in the future, especially if I keep finding strange coincidences i.e
Sunrise today on co-ordinates 18' 36' W - 67' 48' N ( M 5.0 epicentre North of Siglufjordur, Iceland) ... 07:49 ut
Sunrise today on the co-ordinates of this prediction ... 07:49 ut

Sorry it's only a small event, but it is within the range of the magnitude posted ... it's good to see you haven't lost your flair for encouragement!

It's because they are so common that any prediction is likely to be a hit.
If you want to get my attention, correctly predict a 7+ in a location which has never had one.
Did you check out my search program yet?
