RBD Progress 15 / 2 / 2017
#1
This test is being carried out between 12:00 ut 15th Feb to 14:39:45 ut 26th Feb ( new moon ).  The perimeters are +/- 0.75 degrees for terminator proximity contacts, and +/- 1 degree for geocentric position of sun and moon. I will update contact information when possible (usually after 22:00 ut), and will add to my data table if and when further data is sourced (nothing counts before the time data is acquired).  As it was with the last test, nobody knows the outcome, so all is fair. I am using two threads because it makes it easier to access the tables ... any hits for Roger, Brian or myself will be noted as (R1) (B14) etc.  This is not a challenge or a magic trick, it is merely to determine randomness or significance ... thank you.

LOL!

Matter of fact I am, among others. I'm Scotch, Irish, English and Dutch as far as I know.

Wait!

What bearing? You only changed the date on my last entry.

Yep!

Spotted the error ... 23, 24 were originally outside the range, I changed this so 23, 24 became new bearings. 23 got a sun hit and I didn't take the change into account.

Who you kidding ? ... nothing wrong with your faculties  Smile.

A couple of errors have come to light which I will rectify here ...
Due to initial confusion with Roger's last data entry, the wrong sun/moon data was implemented. This has now been corrected, the data line in question is 23rd Feb 04:45 ut ... I does not appear to have had any adverse affect on current results.  Broadband issues are still causing me problems, and may have lead to missing 2 of Brian's targets.  Apologies to Brian, the data is as follows ...

15th Feb M 5.2 Kepulauan Talaud, Indonesia .................. 14:07:28 ut
              Dawn on bearing 143' 03' W - 16' 51' S (B3) ..... 14:08 ut

              Sunset on bearing 14' 04' W - 13' 11' S (B13) .... 07:02 ut

I have no objection to anybody wanting to pointing out any errors I may have unwittingly made.  I am trying to run a fair test relating to my hypothesis ... and honesty counts right !

There seems to be an issue concerning the data I posted in "RDB Test Data" which relates to Roger's table. I corrected a fault yesterday, and would appeal to anyone who can confirm the rest of this data as being correct or flawed. I do not wish to be seen as being bias to the current results ... thank you.
