Watch As 15 Years' Worth Of Earthquakes Shake The Planet
#1
A remarkable animation by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows every recorded earthquake that took place between January 1, 2001, and December 31, 2015. It’s like watching the world fall apart in real-time.

Here's a direct link to the youtube version:

Earthquakes of the First 15 Years of the 21st Century

BTW, *IF* I could ever finish the interactive quake mapping program I want to make, it will be able to do similar animations in real time under user control, and in 3D. But for now, it's just vaporware. boo hoo.

I have just finished watching this animation you posted, quite remarkable to see just what happens in 15 years.  I actually used this to answer my question " do earthquakes occur at 103 West by 50 South " ..... now I know they don't Wink .

Thanks to both of you
