The quake was another normal faulting quake in the subduction zone, 12 days after the M8.1 normal faulting quake maybe 700 km to the southeast. Both were at similar depths. I find this quite the coincidence and wonder if they are linked:

In other news, rather big waves from Tropical Storm Jose at the lighthouse on the south tip of this island.
