There was a M7.2 strike-slip quake a few km from a reservoir in Tajikistan. At least I assume it is a reservoir because it does not seem a likely location and shape for a natural lake. The water pressure for reservoirs can increase pore pressure in faults, which weakens them (same science as induced earthquakes in Oklahoma). But this quake is 29 km depth so maybe unlikely: could be not induced.
