This morning I was in a talk about ground motions in the Nepal quake of a few months ago, and the speaker said some words like ground motion and the room started to move. For some reason I did not notice the motion; people were laughing (nervously?) and I did not know why, but then within a minute or two someone had the location and magnitude. That has now been downgraded to M4.0. It is slightly oblique strike-slip on a non-vertical fault. It is beneath the San Bernadino Mountains in California or nearby. I was at the Southern California Earthquake Center annual meeting in Palm Springs.
