OK, I just don't see where you add links. I see where you can add attachments. Brian, is it OK to add, say, 0.3 or 0.5 Mbyte graphics? Should they be .jpgs?

You can just put the full link in the body of your message and it will automatically become clickable. Yours didn't above because there was no space before the "http". I recommend putting them on their own line.

But on the little icon menu right above the box where you type your message is a "ball and chain" icon, for inserting a hyperlink. It's right next to the "mountain and sun" icon for inserting an image. Both of these pop up a box for typing in a URL.

For uploading an attachment, there is a section towards the bottom of the page. It's a little unintuitive to use, but pretty straightforward once you know.

1. click the "browse" button to browse your hard drive for the file you want to attach
   
2. click the "add attachment" button to actually upload it to the server and attach it to the post
   
3. if you want to insert the attachment inline, in the middle of your post, click on "Insert Into Post"
   

When you preview your message, the list of attachments is at the bottom. You won't actually see the image.

I've upped the allowed file size for bmp, gif, jpg, jpeg, png, and pdf files to a whopping 2 megs!!!

I personally like png because it's compressed yet lossless, and keeps the crisp edges necessary for things like graphs and line art.
