If the quakes are on or close to the megathrust of the subduction zone, and having that many 3+ in 1 or 2 days is not a coincidence, then one might speculate that there is some sort of slow slip event, like they see in Cascadia. Except likely different because I don't think Cascadia slow slip events are associated with that many M3+ quakes.
qualifier: I don't 100% know what I am talking about in this post: it is hypothetical to speculative.
