North Pole M6.0 - Island Chris - 10-28-2017 may be the farthest north quake this big I've seen in the 30 years I've been watching global quakes. Just over 3 degrees latitude from the north pole, or about 350 km. M6.0 https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us1000ay3r#executive I think there is a spreading center plate boundary in the Arctic Ocean, but don't know whether it is near this quake. No focal mechanism yet Chris RE: North Pole M6.0 - Skywise - 10-30-2017 (10-28-2017, 07:58 PM)Island Chris Wrote: may be the farthest north quake this big I've seen in the 30 years I've been watching global quakes.
