Mammoth Area? - PennyB - 07-14-2017 Looks like a lively swarm there and some of the quakes look (to me) as if a dike might be involved. Ideas? RE: Mammoth Area? - Island Chris - 07-18-2017 whoa, I turned on all magnitudes and you are not kidding. But it is a round area of seismicity about 20 km across. It is mostly SW of the caldera. If the quakes are located within a couple km of correct, would not be a single dike, unless it a flat one (sill). If you can find out what is going on, please post it. Chris |
