American Geophysical Union Fall meeting - Island Chris - 12-16-2014 Hey gang, I'm in San Francisco for the AGU Fall meeting, the biggest earth science etc meeting in the world; just me and 23,999 others. My talk is tomorrow on the blind stacked thrust faults from Ventura California for 120 km to the west. Tom Rockwell and many other found evidence for repeated 6 to 8 m uplift events near Ventura, part related to a 900 year old Chumash village site (Rockwell and others 2014, Hubbard and others 2014). Getting ready for this meeting has been super intense, and the meeting is just too overwhelming. Maybe I'll report a little Thursday and later, after my talk. Very heavy rain band coming through now; a dent is being made in the drought.
